This opened in Norway first late last year with a theatrical release, now it’s getting a US release (direct-to-VOD) in late July this summer. Who wants to enjoy chilly, freezing cold WWII cargo ship thriller in the middle of summer? Here you go. Summer 1941: Hitler seems unstoppable, invading the Soviet Union. The Arctic Convoy, also known as Konvoi in Norwegian, is directed by Norwegian filmmaker Henrik Martin Dahlsbakken, director of the films Returning Home, Late Summer, Cave, Going West, An Affair, Another Happy Christmas, Project Z, The Outlaws, Possession, and Munch previously. The screenplay is written by Christian Siebenherz & Harald Rosenløw-Eeg & Lars Gudmestad. Produced by Catrin Gundersen, Thea Benedikte Kevin Karlsen, and Martin Sundland. This first opened in Norway in December 2023 late last year.
