Although Rick Ross has a track titled “I’m Not a Star,” he’s now officially one of Star Island’s newest residents in Miami.
Last month, word surfaced that The Boss had his eye on a luxury waterfront property on this prestigious island. Recently, the “Hustlin” rapper sealed the deal, paying a substantial $35 million for a grand 40,000-square-foot mansion located in the heart of this exclusive, guarded community. With only 30 homes on Star Island, securing a spot here is no small feat, and Ross now joins the ranks of celebrity homeowners like Diddy, billionaire Ken Griffin, Jennifer Lopez, and Gloria Estefan.
Representing the seller were Jill Eber, Jill Hertzberg, Felise Eber, and Fabio Lopes from The Jills Zeder Group. Eber commented, “We’re thrilled to have quickly found an ideal buyer for this exceptional property right after listing it. Star Island is truly one-of-a-kind, and we’re confident the new owner will thoroughly enjoy his residence here.” Ross’s buying team included Kimberly Knausz from ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and Tawanda Roberts from Florida Realty of Miami. Knausz noted, “He was instantly struck by the grand driveway leading to the mansion, giving a real sense of luxury. The unique architecture also appealed to him, as he plans to add his own touches.”
This vast 12,374-square-foot property includes six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and 100 feet of prime waterfront on Biscayne Bay. Although there’s currently a two-car garage, the Maybach Music Group founder may need to expand it to fit his luxury car collection.
For boating, the mansion includes a 40-foot dock with electricity and water hookups—perhaps ready for the Lamborghini yacht Ross has reportedly been eyeing.
Known for his celebrity-packed parties, Ross will certainly make use of the pool, outdoor kitchen, and sprawling stone terrace. Inside, the home features a two-story layout with a glass-walled entryway, a living room with 30-foot ceilings and a custom mahogany fireplace, a media room, and a library. The chef’s kitchen is decked out with premium appliances, granite counters, a butler’s pantry, and a breakfast nook.
Ross’s taste for luxury is evident in the primary suite, which features remote-controlled blinds, a wet bar, two large walk-in closets, and dual bathrooms adorned in marble.
